The service

Realtime World Status is a free, independent, AI-assisted information service that summarises public data on earthquakes, weather, conflict, disease outbreaks, cyber threats and other disasters. See About & methodology for how it works and Sources for where the underlying data comes from.

This is not an emergency or safety service. It is an informational aid only — for anything urgent, always use your local authorities and official channels, not this site.

No warranty; use at your own risk

Content — including headlines, summaries, risk levels and "% chance" figures — is generated automatically by an AI model from third-party public feeds. It may be incomplete, delayed, or simply wrong. The site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose. You are responsible for verifying anything important against the original, linked sources before relying on it.

Intellectual property

The site's own design, text and code are the property of its operator. The underlying event data comes from independent public sources, each under its own licence — see Sources for the specific licence and attribution requirements of each one before reusing that data yourself. AI-generated summaries and risk assessments on this site are provided for personal, informational use; if you build something on top of the public API or RSS feed (see below), keep the required attribution to the original data sources intact.

Using the public API and RSS feed

The read-only REST API (documented at /api/docs) and the RSS feed (/api/feed.xml) are open, require no sign-up or API key, and are provided free of charge for reasonable, good-faith use — personal projects, research, dashboards, embedding the risk badge, and similar. In using them, you agree not to:

• Send excessive, automated, or abusive traffic beyond reasonable use, or attempt to bypass, evade, or overload rate limiting;
• Probe, scan, or attack the API or site infrastructure, or attempt to access any endpoint or data not intentionally exposed by the public documentation;
• Present the data, or an AI-generated summary derived from it, as your own independent reporting or as official/authoritative safety guidance;
• Redistribute the underlying third-party source data in a way that violates that source's own licence (see Sources);
• Use the service to build a competing product that primarily just re-packages this site's own AI-generated output.

We may change, rate-limit, restrict, or discontinue the API, the feed, or any part of the site at any time, without notice, and without liability for doing so.

Limitation of liability

This service is provided free of charge. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, the site, the API, or the RSS feed, or from any decision made in reliance on their content.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated from time to time as the site and its API evolve; the effective date at the top always reflects the latest version. Continuing to use the site or API after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Greece, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, unless mandatory local consumer-protection law gives you additional rights where you live.
